Barbara was a native of France. She immigrated to the United States and settled in Louisville, Kentucky, prior to January 1835. On 02 Feb 1835 she married Antonio "Anthony" Moungie in Floyd County, Indiana, and they had seven children: Paul, Mary, Annie, Nicholas, Victoria, Charles, and August. According to the city death register Barbara died of old age at the age of 72.
