---Mrs. D.C. Six, a resident of La Plata for a number of years, died at the family home here Thursday night, September 17, 1931 after an illness of three months. She was eighty years old.
---Christiannia Pierce Six was born June 15, 1851. She moved from Ohio to Fulton, Illinois with her parents in 1854 and then moved to Adair County, Missouri in 1874 and to Macon County in 1889.
---She was united in marriage to Daniel C. Six on March 21, 1867. To this union were born two sons, Charles H. Six of Ottumwa, Iowa and Riley Six of La Plata. She also leaves twelve grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Lida Dean of Novinger.
---Funeral services were held from the home at 2:00 Saturday afternoon, September 19, 1931, conducted by Miss Gibson of Kirksville, Reader of the Christian Science Church of which Mrs. Six was a member. Burial was made in the La Plata cemetery by the side of her husband who passed away January 19, 1924.
