James Eugene Edgell Sr., 73, of Ramage, Boone County, formerly of Idamay, died Saturday, Jan. 16, 2010, at his home with family by his side.
Born June 27, 1936, in Fairmont, he was the son of the late Ray and Lucy Cain Edgell.
James was a retired electrician from West Virginia Electric with 47 years of service.
Survivors include his wife, Christine of Ramage; son James E. Edgell Jr. of Oakland, Md.; daughters Susan Longwell of Akron, Ohio, Jewel Kesner of Keyser, and Tina Spur of Katy; brothers, Oakley Edgell and Doak Edgell, both of Fairmont; sisters, Lillian Ray Hall and Janette Lane, both Salem; 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held on Jan. 20 at Stevens Funeral Home, Madison, with the Rev. Charlie Fancer officiating.
