When Robert Tobias (Reginald Frank) "Bobbie* Andrews was born on February 20, 1895, in London, London, England, his father, Walter, was 33 and his mother, Ada, was 30. He died on January 17, 1976, in Maidenhead, Berkshire, England, at the age of 80.
Amongst his many character parts was the Prime Minister in Ivor Novello's musical play King's Rhapsody at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane.
When Andrews, who was gay, met Ivor Novello in 1916 they became close friends, and eventually lovers. Their relationship lasted 35 years, during which they performed together many times in Novello's musicals and plays.

The village of Littlewick Green is set just off the main Bath Road two miles west of Maidenhead and has a certain charm, with many of its cottages and houses set around a sizeable green with the school and parish church completing the picture. Also here is "Redroofs," the former home of Ivor Novello, where many of his most famous works were composed. Bobbie Andrews died in 1976 at Redroofs and is buried there.
