Mrs. Aslaug Baker Succumbs at 87; Services Tuesday
_Rushford, Minn.—(Special)—Mrs. Aslaug Baker, 87, formerly of Rushford and widow of Halvor Baker, died at 8 p. m. Friday at a Rochester hospital where she had been a patient two weeks. Previously she had resided for some time at the Ebenezer home at Minneapolis, a Lutheran Institution for the aged. Mrs. Baker was born In Norway, June 16, 1659, the daughter of Gulllck and Karl Jacobson, coming to this country at the age of 20 and settling In Illinois. After living there a short tune she came to this vicinity. She was married in 1887 and the couple farmed near Rushford until moving here several years ago. Two of her five children and seven grandchildren survive. The children»are Mrs. Carl (Sarah) Holtegard, St. Charles, and Mrs. T. J. (Julia) Lewis, Poison, Mont. Funeral services will be at 2 p. m. Tuesday at the Rushford Lutheran church, the Rffv. N. L. _Otterstad officiating. Burial will be in the Lutheran cemetery.
