Madelene R. Hodge, 98, died Wednesday at Putnam Memorial Nursing Home following a long illness.
She was born in Waverly, Ga., and had lived in Palatka 76 years, coming from Georgia. she was a homemaker and an author. She was a member of St. James United Methodist Church where she belonged to the Rebecca Circle.
She is survived by her daughters, Lorraine Ruhl of Palatka and Joan Iseminger of Pontiac, Mich.; seven grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Oak Hill East Cemetery with Rev. Herbert Schimpf officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill East Cemetery.
