OBITUARY :
MRS. AMANDA CLINE, widow of Jacob Cline, Smithsburg, Rt. 1, died at the Washington County Hospital on Wednesday afternoon after a long illness, aged 83.

She was born at Wolfsville, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Frey.

She was a member of the Reformed Church of Wolfsville, and had lived in the Smithsburg area all her life.

Surviving are sons, Leroy and Hubert, Smithsburg, and Ralph, at home; daughters, Mrs. Alice R. Barton of Lantz, Mrs. Emma Smith of Chewsville, Mrs. Virginia Wade, Cascade, Mrs. Edith Mellott, Hagerstown, Mrs. Joseph Webb of Middletown, and Miss Ethel S. Cline, Smithsburg; 29 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at the Pleasant Valley Church Saturday at 10 a.m., with the Rev. Dale R. Groff officiating. Interment will be made in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the Minnich Funeral Home in Smithsburg on Friday evening from 7 to 9.
