ALFRED SOROKEY
Services are Friday for Alfred Sorokey, 77, of Decker Road, Craryville, who died October 26 at Albany Medical Center.

Born in Hirson, France, April 28, 1921, he was the son of the late Joseph and Camelia Sorokey.

Mr. Sorokey emigrated from France in 1948, after being held in Germany's Buchenwald concentration camp as a prisoner of war.

Mr. Sorokey was a retired carpenter with the L United Brotherhood of Carpenters Local #265 in Dutchess County.

He was a member of Sacred Heart Church, Philmont, and a life member of the Churchtown Fire Company.

Survivors include his wife, Therese L. (Morelle) Sorokey; a son, Alain F. Sorokey of Craryville; a daughter, Lillian Tomlin of Columbiaville; three brothers, William Sorokey of Greenport, Eddy Sorokey of Castleton and James Sorokey of Claverack; three sisters Daisy Ragin of Daytona Beach, FL, Dolly Sacco of Greenport and Jenny Boyson of Verona; five grandchildren and two great-grand¬children.

Services are at 9:15 a.m. from McDonald Funeral Home, Hudson, and 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial is offered by the Rev. Raymond Ethier.
Calling hours are tonight from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Burial is in Cedar Park Cemetery, Hudson.
