Cora Jewel Jackson married John Boston Winn, on 03 Now 1923, when she was 15 years old, and John was 17. From 1925 to 1934, they had 5 children together, with two sons, John Boston Winn, Jr. dying at birth, and Douglas Ray Winn dying in 1932, at the age of 3 years old.
Cora, died at the age of 26 years old in childbirth of their youngest child, Doris Jeanne Winn (Minchey) on 23 Feb 1934, the day Doris was born. Mr. Winn later married, and is buried in Elmwood Cemetery, Taylor County, TX.
Two other children: James Clinton Winn (1926)and Nina Joan Winn (1931) are still living. Doris died in 2011, and is buried near her Mom here in Eastview Cemetery.
Cora's Mom was from Texas, and her Surname was Jackson. Her Dad was born in New Mexico, and returned there not long after Cora's birth. His Surname was Conway. Hence, Cora went by both last names, Conway & Jackson, most of her life, causing much confusion with her historical records.
Now that her family has found her, we don't plan to ever let that happen again to this wonderful, kind and loving mother that gave her life so her children could live!
