Found in The State 03 June 1978. Mrs. Verona Howard Brock, 66, of 1231 Hamrick Ave., wife of Walter L. Brock, died Friday in a Columbia hospital. Born in Richland County, she was employed for 29 years with the State Park Health Center. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church. Surviving are her husband; her mother, Mrs. Dolly Howard; and a sister, Mrs. Jonell Fetner of Columbia. (Note: Her obituary has her maiden name as Howard, which I believe to be incorrect.)

She can be found on the 1930 US Census for Camp Ground, Richland, SC at age 18 living with parents Abney J., 50, and Dolly E., 38, and siblings, Vitta, 15 and Jo Nell, 7, and aunt, Florence E. Havird, 54.

Note: per the Richland County Marriage Index, Verona H. Aaron and Walter L. Brock were issued a marriage license on 12/28/1966.
