He attended Tyler Junior College from 1965 to 1967 and then received his B.A. from University of Texas at Austin. He was with the United States Secret Service for 30 years until his retirement from the San Francisco Field Office.
His funeral was held on Nov. 27, 2012, at Our Lady of Loretto Church in Novato, Calif. Family and close friends are invited to attend his burial service at Rose Hill Cemetery in Tyler on Dec. 6, 2012, at 4 p.m. A reception will follow. Donations may be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (www.pancan.org).
