Simon was born in Russia where he was a well-to-do farmer. During World War II the family worked for a German farmer. After liberation, they worked for American installations.

Another displaced family is expected to arrive in Perry today as part of the contingent sponsored by the Methodist Church. They are Simon Moros, 59; his wife Nadijah, 53, and two daughters, Anna 27 and Ewdokija, 23. They are arriving from the U.S. zone in Germany.

PERRY — Simon Moros, 79, of 6 Watkins Ave., here, died Saturday in Wyoming County Community Hospital, Warsaw where he had been a patient for five weeks.
Mr. Moros, a native of the Ukraine, came to the United States in 1950. He retired seven years ago after 12 years of service at the former Perry Knitting Company. He was a member of First United Methodist Church here.
Surviving are his wife, Nadiz; three daughters, Miss Mary Moros of Ukraine, Mrs. Floyd Scott and Mrs. Zane Scott, both of Perry: a brother, Ivan of Binghamton; four sisters and one brother, all of the Ukraine; ten grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Eaton-Watson Funeral Home. 59 Lake Street. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery here.
