Mr. Daniel Berry, son of the late Mr. John Berry and Mrs. Martha Jane Hedgepeth Berry, was born 14 Aug 1902 in Green Co. and departed this life Wed. 2 Sept [1987] at the Sts. Mary and Elizabeth Hospital in Louisville. He was 85 years and 19 days of age. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Ninth and O Baptist church at the time of his death. Mr. Berry was a retired supervisor of the Louisville Transit Co. He united in marriage to Miss Artie Carter, who preceded him in death. To this union were born 3 children, Mrs. Virginia Gilliam, Fairdale; Eldridge Berry, St. Petersburg, Fl., and Melvin Berry, Louisville. He later united in marriage to Miss Margaret Beeler, who survives. To this union were born 1 son and 1 daughter. Surviving is, Martha Berry, Louisville, Bernard Berry preceded his father in death. Mr. Berry is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. The remains were at the Nunnelley Funeral Home in Louisville. Funeral services were conducted at 1 pm Fri 4 Sept with burial in the Maple Hill Cem. on Burma Rd. in Green Co. Rev. Dan Martin officiated. Pallbearers were Harold Berry, David Berry, Kenny Carter, Richard Gillian, Raymond Berry, John Berry, Charles Carter and Ronnie Russell.
