John E. Everitt was born Jan. 13, 1867. United with the M. E. church at New Chapel in the year 1887. Was married to Emma Parks Sept. 22, 1888. She departed this life July 22, 1901. To this union was born seven daughters, six of whom survive him. In September, 1903, he was married to Mrs. Ella West. He died Dec. 26, 1908, leaving a wife, six daughters, father, mother, three brothers and three sisters to mourn his departure.
