Thomas J. Everitt Dies at Kokomo; Buried Here
Thomas Jefferson Everitt, a former resident of this place, died on Tuesday of last week at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Joseph Gilbert, in Kokomo, of paralysis. Aged 70 years. The body was brought here Thursday morning and funeral services were held at the Christian church, after which burial was at the Everitt cemetery southwest of Vienna.
He is survived by two sons and two daughters, Paul Everitt, of Indianapolis; Oliver Everitt, of California; Mrs. Joseph Gilbert, of Kokomo, with whom he resided, and Mrs. Martin Blackford, of Tipton. He is also survived by two sisters and two brothers, Mrs. Mary Murphy, of Scottsburg; Mrs. Henry Tash, of Noblesville; Wm Everitt, of near Vienna, and Alonzo Everitt, of near Noblesville.

Death comes after long illness to aged man at home of daughter
Thomas J. Everett, age seventy, a resident of this city for the past two years, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Joseph Gilbert, 2312 North Webster street, at midnight Monday of a complication of diseases from which he had been suffering for some time. Funeral arrangements are to be announced later through the Ellers undertaking establishment which has charge of the body.
Mr. Everett, a member of the Odd Fellows lodge and a native of Scottsburg, Ind., came to this city about two years ago to make his home with his daughter. He is survived by two sons, Herman Everett of Indianapolis and Paul O. Everett of Los Angeles, Cal., two daughters, Mrs. Joseph Gilbert of this city and Mrs. Martin Blanford of Tipton county; two brothers, William J. Everett of Scottsburg, Ind., and Lon F. Everett of Noblesville; and two sisters, Mrs. Mary Murphy of Scottsburg, and Mrs. Henry Tash of Noblesville.
