Bertha Cole was born Bertha Groh, dau of Jacob and Mary Jane (Michener)Groh in 1893. She married Harry Cole in 1910 and they were married 4 months short of 75 years. They lived in Michigan their entire lives and raised three children. She was an amazing lady. Soft spoken but always heard. He was a minister of the Methodist church, she was a ministers wife. They were in love, until God took Bertha home. Harry followed her 5 years later, now they are together again. Bertha descended from Johannes Groh who came to Pennsylvania to escape persecution of the Mennonites or as they are also known Anabaptists. One of the very early families in Pennsylvania.
