Janet was born August 31, 1939 near Steele and was the daughter of Mrs. Lola Young and the late Jesse Young.
She leaves her husband, T. M. Wanker; three sons, Mark, Timothy, and Patrick; and one daughter, Dawna Jo, all of Jackson;
Her mother, Mrs. Lola Young of Delta City, Mississippi, one sister, Janelle Young Boykin, also of Delta City; two brothers, Jerry Young of Bakersfield, california; and Joe Young of Forrest City, Arkansas.
Janet spent her childhood on the family farm on the Bayou and she always thought ot it as home. She attended Steele schools and was a graduate of the 1957 class of Steele High School.
Burial was in Lake Wood Memorial Gardens at Jackson.
