Thurman C. Baker, 67, of 129 Alexander St., died Saturday at the Washington County Hospital.

Born in Washington County, he was the son of Annabelle Hammond Baker and the late Harry Daniel Baker.

He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Downsville.

Besides his mother he is survived by his wife, Mrs. Delores V. Baker;
five daughters, Mrs. Annabelle Palmer,
Mrs. Betty Castle,
Mrs. Doris Hawks,
Mrs. Sandy Campbell and
Mrs. Delores Mills, all of Hagerstown;
Six sons, Thurman C. Baker Jr.,
Donald Baker,
Robert Baker,
Jerry Baker,
Jay Baker and
Joey Baker, all of Hagerstown;
Eight sisters, Mrs. Blanche Ausherman of Williamsport,
Mrs. Mary Rowland of Downsville,
Mrs. Dorothy Reel,
Mrs. Bessie Ebersole,
Mrs. Virginia Smith,
Mrs. Jane Forsythe,
Mrs. Faye Campbell and
Mrs. Sara Fry, all of Hagerstown;
Two brothers Donald Baker of Hagerstown and
Alvey Baker of Clear Spring;
42 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Rest Haven Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Vernon Miles will officiate.

Burial will be in the Rest Haven Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 7 to 9.

There will be a private viewing for the family only this evening from 7 to 9.
