Anna Marie "Jane" Forsythe, 78, of 820 Maryland Ave. in Hagerstown, died Monday, May 14, 2001, at her home.

Born May 27, 1922, in Downsville, she was the daughter of the late Harry Daniel and Annabelle Hammond Baker.

She was a homemaker.

She was a member of Grace Brethren Church, and taught in the nursery.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Cyriel B. Forsythe; four daughters, Ellen M. Fahey, Lora J. Forsythe and Ann M. Forsythe, all of Hagerstown, and Cheryl A. Stoneberger of Sharpsburg; a son, Allyn C. Forsythe of Hagerstown; four sisters, Dortha Reel of Hagerstown, Margaret Campbell of Williamsport, Atalee Smith and Bessie Ebersole, both of Hagerstown; a brother, Alvey Baker of Hagerstown; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by four sisters, Thelma Harsh, Mary Rowland, Sara Frey and Blanche Aushman; and two brothers, Thurman Baker and Donald Baker.

Private services will be held at Andrew K. Coffman Funeral Home, 40 E. Antietam St. in Hagerstown. The Rev. Dean P. Pryor will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.

There will be no visitation.
