Catherine G. Checksfield
Catherine Gould Checksfield, 71, of 105 Smith St., Syracuse, died Wednesday. She was a life resident of Syracuse. She retired in 1985 from New York Telephone Co. after 36 years and was a member of Upstate Telephone Pioneers. Her husband, Jack, died in 1991.
Survivors: Two daughters, Carol Miller of Yellowstone National Park, Wyo., and Janet Halliday of Syracuse; a son, James of Collingswood, N. J.; a sister, Barbara Gould of Elbridge; eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren. Services: Will be announced. Burial, St. Agnes Cemetery. No calling hours. Butler-Badman Funeral Home, Onondaga Hill, has arrangements. Contributions: Steven Johnson Syndrome Foundation, 9285 Utica St., Westminster, CO 83030.
