Greenville Mountaineer

Departed this life at White Plains, Anderson District, SC, on the 4th inst., Mr.George Crymes in the 80th year of his age. The deceased was born in Lunenburg County, Virginia, and at the early age of 16 entered the Revolutionary Army, and was present at the surrender of Lord Cornwallis to General Washington at Yorktown. He emigrated to this state in 1796, and has lived the last 57 years in this District, except the last year when he lived in Anderson. He was an orderly member of the Baptist Church. He has left a numerous family of children, grand children and great grandcildren to mourn their loss. (December
