He married Mary Ann Holmes.

SYLVESTER DAVEE,
who died
Feb'y 15. 1834:
aged 28 years.

"Accept lov'd friend a lingering last farewell!
Long shall thy manly worth in memory dwell,
Taught by the example thy short life has giv'n,
O, may we wisely live, prepar'd for heaven."
