Brita was the most beautiful calico kitten. Someone was outside of the pet store trying to find homes for her kittens because the humane society turned her away and the pet store said no also. Well we took her home. She was nicw for Eric as we soon adopte our 2nd son, and so Eric had his own "baby" too.
She was friendly and outgoing but she was dirty in the house. Perhaps if I had spayed her it would have made a difference but with a busy household and two little boys, I couldn't have a cat that peed on the floor.
I found a home for her in the country where she became a barn cat. It was with a friend so we could visit. Our surprise, she became friends with a lamb and slept with it. She had a litter of kittens, and then disappeared. No one knew where she went. We missed her happy personality and good looks, and I always regretted not keeping her as an outside cat in the city.
