Mrs. Hampton dies
Funeral services were conducted Sunday at the Dixon Memorial Regular Baptist Church, Jeremiah, for Mrs. Lina C. Hampton, 73, who died Nov. 9 at the Whitesburg hospital. Burial was in the Horsemill Point Cemetery at Jeremiah.
Mrs. Hampton was a daughter of the late David and Caroline Cornett Caudill.
Surviving are her husband, John S. Hampton; four daughters, Mrs. Cassie Eldridge, Jeremiah; Mrs. Hassle Brown and Mrs. Maxie Campbell, both of Letcher, and Mrs. Gypsy Rowe, Sandusky, Ohio; a son, David E. Hampton, Letcher; two sisters, Mrs. Jessie Gibson, Blackey, and Mrs. Vernia Lee Adams, Morristown, Tennessee; five brothers, Millard Caudill, Jeffersontown, Ky.; Willie Caudill and Sam Ray Caudill, both of Jeremiah; George Caudill, Eolia, and Dixon Caudill, Blackey; 15 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She was a member of the Dixon Memorial Church.
Moore and Craft Funeral Home had charge of funeral arrangements.
