William was aged about 70 when he passed away in late August, 1771.
He was born on Long Island and was the son of an anchorsmith, Thomas Joslin of S. Kingstown, RI.
William married Christianna Garrison, daughter of Jacob Garrison Jr., of Deerfield, Cumberland County, New Jersey.

He died in Deerfield, and was buried on August 25, 1771, by the Rev. Enoch Green.
His birth year is approximated.

The cemetery was searched by FindAGrave member kt (#47239188), and while he was recorded as being buried here, there is apparently no existing headstone.
