Mr. Gwinn Harold Curtis Sr., 70, of Rocky Face, passed away Friday, Dec. 14, 2012, at Hamilton Medical Center.

Gwinn was born on Dec. 23, 1941, in Whitfield County.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Maude Curtis; brother, Richard Curtis; sisters, Rachel Manis and Virginia Phillips.

Gwinn is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Amy Elaine Curtis of Rocky Face; son, Gwinn Curtis JR of Dalton; son and daughter-in-law, Paul and Tonya Curtis of Rocky Face; daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Charles Bryant of Rocky Face; daughter, Jennifer Hall of Dalton; brother, William Curtis of Rocky Face; sisters, Betty Gohley of Chatsworth and Marie Caldwell of Dalton; brother-in-law and his wife, Bruce and Peggy Watkins; special friend, Allen Kendrick; he also had nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A funeral to celebrate the life of Mr. Gwinn Harold Curtis Sr. will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the chapel of Dalton Funeral Home with the Rev. Ed Pippin and the Rev. JR Holcomb officiating.

Interment will be at Whitfield Memorial Gardens in Dalton. The family will receive friends at the funeral home 5 to 9 p.m. today and Monday.
