Son of James & Permelia B. Dillon.

Married Mary Ann Stewart on Aug. 1, 1849 in Dubois Co., Indiana.

There were the parents of 8 children:

1) James Stewart Dillon (1850-1871)

2) John F. (B: 8-21-1852)
Married Emma F. Sherritt, she died 1-11-1904

In 1920 John was elected Judge of the fifty-seventh Judicial Circuit, composed of Pike and Dubois Counties, on the republican ticket by a majority or 239 over his opponent Bomar Traylor. He is the first republican Judge ever elected in Pike and Dubois Counties.

3) Charles Hall (B: 12-18-1853)
Married Maude Tripp, she died 11-7-1894.

During the World War, Charles was Congressman from his district in South Dakota, and in 1922 was elected Judge of the State Supreme Court on the republican ticket by a majority of 10,000 over his opponent.

8) Mary (B: 10-19-1866 D: 11-19-1904)

NOTE:
Some records show the last name spelled "Dillin" and others show is has "Dillon".

Even some markers for the family members are spelled differently.

The burial listing I obtained has them spelled as "Dillin". However, I am told the cemetery record has it as "Dillon".

Data I found through Ancestry.com came through as "Dillin".
