Called by Death Mrs. Sarah (Dillon) Boyle, 80, wife of David M. Boyle and for years a well-known and highly esteemed resident of Lafayette, died at 9:25 o'clock Tuesday morning at the family home, 720 South Ninth street, after an extended illness. Born in Dubois county October 19, 1861, she was the daughter of Matthew B. and Mary Ann (Steward) Dillon. The family moved to Bloomington where the daughter graduated from Indiana University, class of 1883. On Aug. 5, 1886, she married Mr. Boyle, then a resident of Pierre, S. D. They spent their early married life in Pierre, moving to Lafayette in 1897, and living here ever since. Mrs. Boyle belonged to Central Presbyterian church for 43 years and was past matron of Hope chapter No. 5, Order of Eastern Star, also belonging to the White Shrine of Jerusalem.
Her husband is her only survivor. He is a 33rd-degree Mason. Friends may call at the Rogers and Henderson funeral home after noon Wednesday; services there at 2 p. m. Thursday, Dr. W. R. Graham officiating; burial in Spring Vale.
