PINEWOOD — Jeanette Alsbrook Lowder, 74, widow of Joseph Lee Lowder Sr., died Saturday, Dec. 22, 2012, at her home in Pinewood.

Born Sept. 9, 1938, in Manning, she was the daughter of the late George Hardy Alsbrook and the late Lucy Mae Ridgeway Alsbrook. She was a retired supervisor for Summerton Apparel, and she was a member of Pinewood United Methodist Church.

She is survived by a son, Joseph Lee Lowder Jr. of Pinewood; a daughter, Linda L. Sage of Las Vegas, Nev.; a brother, Marvin Alsbrook (Mary) of Manning; four sisters, Lila Ellis (Bill), Margaret Ardis and Pam Beatson (Billy), all of Manning, and Angela Hodge (Harold) of Sumter; six grandchildren, Clay, Joseph and Travis Lowder, all of Sumter, Rhiannon Lowder of Tennessee, Wesley Sage of Las Vegas and Hunter Blascak of Manning; six great-grandchildren; and an adopted daughter, Tami Blascak (Mark) of Manning.

She was preceded in death by an infant son, Michael David Lowder; and a brother, Raymond Alsbrook.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012, at Pinewood United Methodist Church with the Rev. Randall Haase, officiating, assisted by the Rev. Pec Chatham. Burial will follow in Pinewood Cemetery.
