He was a United States Marine Corps veteran of the Viet Nam War, and was owner and operator of Alsbrook Construction, a member of Deep Creek Pentecostal Holiness Church, a member of United Bird Hunters, and Southern Trail Riders.
Survivors, in addition to his wife of Manning, are a son, Ray Alsbrook and wife Catherine Anne of Summerton; two daughters, Laura Alsbrook of Manning, and Aimee Steen and husband Buck of Manning; three grandchildren, Caitlan and Justin Alsbrook, and Brittani Steen; a brother, Marvin Alsbrook and wife Mary of Manning; five sisters, Lila Ellis and husband Bill of Manning, Margaret Ardis of Manning, Jeanette Lowder and husband Lee of Pinewood, Angela Hodge and husband Harold of Sumter, and Pam Beatson and husband Billy of Manning; and a number of nieces and nephews.
