Anton Stoll was born to parents, Anton and Marguerite Stoll on October 16, 1816 in France. His family arrived in America on May 28, 1836. In 1851, he married Marie Eva Steppig, 16 years his junior and they set up their home in Columbia, Monroe, Illinois where he lived the remainder of his life. He farmed the land like most of his family, and was 80 years old at his death.
