Diane was a member of Wardell Baptist Church, a beautician by trade, Sunday School Teacher, avid VBS Director and devoted to children's ministries. Diane was the daughter of Ulysses William and Joy Stephen Clayton. She was united in marriage to Danny Ray Hensley of Hayti, Mo. in 1972.
Diane was preceded in death by her parents, Ulis and Joy, and her sister Carol Loraine Clayton Underwood. She also preceded in death by her stepmother, DaLene Clayton.
She leaves the following to cherish her memory; Daughter, Kimberley Rene Gilmore and her husband Lewis of Wardell, son, Danny Ray Hensley II of Wardell. Her two precious
grandchildren, McKenzie Eryn Gilmore age 11 and Aaron Lewis Gilmore age 8 of Wardell, one sister, Shelly (Jake) Fisher of Portageville, two brothers, Michael (Linda) Clayton of Hayti, William C. "Bill" (Margaret) Clayton of Wardell and a host of other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in the Wardell Baptist Church in Wardell with Bro. Griff Walker and Rev. Kris Underwood officiating.
Burial was in the Portageville Cemetery in Portageville. Pallbearers were Tommy Simms, Jeremy Clenney, Gene Windham, Malcolm Babb, Johnny Watkins, Harold Gene Wilson, Lee Watkins and Roger Tarver.
