Robert "Bob" Freeman, 78, of Loogootee, formally of Tell City, passed away Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at his home in Loogootee, IN.

He was born in Perry County, IN on August 7, 1933 to the now late Clarence and Helen (Jordan) Freeman. Also preceding him in death is a son, Robert "Gordy" Freeman and an infant brother, Bruce.

Bob was a retired heavy equipment operator working in coal mines and construction. He attended St. John's Lutheran Church in Loogootee and was a U.S. Army veteran. He was a member of Loogootee American Legion and was an avid hunter, fisherman and treasure hunter. He was a fan of NASCAR, Pacers basketball, Colts football and St. Louis Cardinals baseball.

Surviving is his Companion and love of his life, two daughters; two sons; two sisters; and a brother; twelve grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held on Monday, August 6, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. CST at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Lamb Cemetery in Tobinsport. Visitation will be Sunday from 3:00-7:00 p.m. and Monday 8:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
