Irene Wimbish Taylor, 92, of Patrick Springs, VA, died Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012, at the Blue Ridge Nursing Center in Stuart. She was born in Patrick County on Sept. 8, 1920, to Howard and Lucy Shough Wimbish. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Frank Benjamin Taylor; a grandson, Stacy Trent; four brothers, Otis, Van, Vivian and Paris Wimbish; and two sisters, Lola Wimbish and Lillian Fulcher. She retired from United Elastic Corp. with 25 years of service, and she was a member of Providence United Methodist Church. Surviving are three daughters, Juanita Harbour, Vernel Trent, and Elinor Handy; a son, Wayne Taylor; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Elizabeth Goard.
