She was born January 12, 1929, in Brown County Indiana to Carl and Ida Carter Miller.
Josephine worked for years with the Monroe County Community School Corporation as a cook at University Middle and High School and with Bloomington High School North. She was a member of the St. Paul Catholic Center, the Women's Auxiliary of the Bloomington Township Fire Department, and thoroughly enjoyed her puzzles, ceramics, crafts and time with her family.
Josephine is survived by her son, L. Chester Aubin and his wife Roberta of Bargersville; daughter, Jurene R. (Aubin) Coia and her husband Gregory of Martinsville; son, Francis E. Aubin and his wife Janice of Pittsburgh, PA; son, Lelann Dale Aubin and his wife Yvonne of Bloomington, and son, Lorne Alan Aubin and his wife Julie, also of Bloomington. She is also survived by granchildren, Nicolas Aubin, Gregory Coia, II, Joshua, Brianne, Joseph, and Nicole Aubin; great-grandchildren, Romey Aubin and Landon Coia; twin sister, Jurene Richardson of Bloomington; and brothers, Wayne Miller of Bloomington, and Don Miller of Ellettsville. Josephine was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ludger F. Aubin. in 1981; and 6 brothers and sisters.
Funeral services for Josephine will be conducted Thursday, January 3, 2013, at Allen Funeral Home, 4155 South Old Highway 37, at 11 a.m. Fr. Simon-Felix Michalski will preside. Josephine will be laid to rest next to her husband in the Elkinsville Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 2, 2013, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m., also at Allen Funeral Home.
