HERREN - Friends of Mr. and Mrs. L. D. Herren and family, Mr. and Mrs. Johnnie Brown, Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Bullard, Mr. and Mrs. W. M. Brantley, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Stroud and Mr. W. P. Bullard are invited to attend the funeral of Mrs. L. D. Herren Today (Tuesday), May 20, 1919, at 10 a.m. from the residence of Mr. W. N. Brantley, 101 Fortress Avenue. Rev. Lon Hughes officiating. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers and please meet at residence of Mr. Brantley: messers, W. C. Flury, w. N. Brantley, W. P. Bullard, Harman Stroud, Archie Backus and Dr. J. L. E. Brantley. interment at Elliott's Cemetery. Barclay & Brandon Company Funeral directors, P. J. Bloomfield in charge.

Vannie was first married to John W. Brantley - he died in 1900. He was involved in a bad train wreck that killed a number of people. She married Lee Dandiver Herren about 1903.

She had one daughter, Johnnie, with John W. Brantley. Her second husband died in Travis, Texas.
