Wanda Ruth Lewis of Meridian, Idaho passed away January 4, 2013 at age 82. She was born to Coleman and Ruth Green on December 3, 1930. She grew up in the Meridian-Kuna area and attended Amity School and graduated from Kuna High School.
Wanda met and married Albert Lewis in 1950 and they had a son and two daughters. They later
divorced.
Her first job was with First Security Bank and she later worked for the bank in Kuna. Later, she worked for the State of Idaho in the Motor Vehicle Division. Wanda was an avid league bowler at Meridian Bowling Lanes and traveled to and participated in The National Bowling Tournament for several years.
Wanda also was an avid fan of the Boise Hawks and BSU men's basketball teams, holding season tickets to both. She provided a home to several Boise Hawks players during their seasons in Boise.
Wanda is survived by her son, Lynn Lewis of Union, Oregon, daughters Cheree Oakes (Jack) of Salmon, Idaho and Cheryl LaBronte of Salem, Oregon; granddaughters Cassie, Joie, Jessie, Sage and Ami and and grandsons Kellie, Cody and Kevin; and great grandchildren Hailey, Danika, Dawson, Grace and Lane. She is also survived by sisters, Mary Neff and Patricia Lewis and by brothers Bill Green and Ivan (Pete) Green.
A memorial service will be held, Saturday, January 12th at 2:00pm at Cloverdale Funeral Home.
