Garnett Campbell, 41, of Route 1, Elkhorn, died at 4:05 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 2, [1980], at the Taylor County Hospital. He was an employee of the Union Underwear Company in Campbellsville. He united in marriage to Vera Wethington on April 4, 1959. To this union two sons and one daughter were born: Roger Campbell, Rhonda Campbell, and Rodney Campbell, all at home. Besides his wife and children, he is survived by his mother, Lena Willis Campbell of Campbellsville; three brothers and one sister: George Campbell and Mae Atwell, both of Columbia; Gene Campbell of Ottawa, Illinois; and Lee Campbell of Arlington, Illinois; two half-brothers and five half-sisters: Dora Sludder, Campbellsville; Lacy Campbell, Elkhorn, Route 1; Hazel Herron, Columbia; Nora Davis, Esta Huddleston and Laura Helms, all of Louisville; and Beril Campbell, Florida; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends. Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 5 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home Chapel in Campbellsville by Father Joe Dawson and Rev. J. D. Campbell. Burial was in Campbellsville Memorial Gardens.
