Glenn O. Campbell, 45, Casey Creek, Route 1, a welder for Bechtel Construction Company employed in laying a pipeline for Tennessee Gas Transmission Company near Morehead, died at 10 a.m. Friday while at work. An inquest was held by Coroner C. B. Lane of Rowan County. He decided Campbell died from a heart attack. Funeral services were held Sunday, October 14 at 2:30 p.m. from the Mt. Zion Church of God in Adair County with the Rev. William Stayton and Rev. Jesse Campbell in charge. Burial was in the Elkhorn Cemetery. The pallbearers were Roy Jones, Coy Eastridge, Monty Blair, Andrew Flinchum, Oscar Wood, and Luther Cooper. Campbell, son of Burton E. Campbell and the late Alice Wayman Campbell, was born December 29, 1910 in Ashe County, North Carolina. He was a member of the Mt. Zion Church of God. He united in marriage to Lillian Claudie Harden on September 7, 1930 and to this union two daughters and three sons were born. Survivors, besides his wife and father, are his children: Mrs. J. C. Giles, Campbellsville; Mrs. Edward Bland, Casey Creek, Route 1; Rancel Campbell, Air Force, San Antonion, Texas; and Shannon and Skippy Campbell, Route 1, Casey Creek. He is also survived by seven sisters, Mrs. Jay Osborne, Mrs. Bob Herron and Mrs. Dewey Sluder, New Albany, Ind.; Mrs. Leonard Williams, Mrs. Otha Huddleston and Mrs. Marshall Davis, Louisville; and Mrs. Henry Helms, Shepherdsville; two brothers, Lacy and Burle Campbell, Taylor County; four half-brothers, Eugene, Garnett, G. W. and Lee Campbell, Taylor County; one half-sister, Miss May Campbell; one step-brother, E. B. Willis, and his step-mother, Mrs. Lena Campbell, Casey Creek.
