Connie and her parents came to America from Scotland.

I loved listening to her stories of 'The Old Country' as she called it. She was very young when she left Scotland but had memories of her homeland and the trip to America. I LOVED listening to stories from the older generation.

I visited Mrs. Millen almost daily when I was growing up, we enjoyed watching Gunsmoke together on Saturday evenings. I think she was extremely lonely after her husband died.
She was like having a Grandmother next door. She was smart and funny, she really cracked me up!

She loved rose bushes and flowers And she made excellent Tomato soup cake! If I close my eyes I can see her in my mind sitting in her rocking chair by the window smoking her Camel cigarettes. I know she was sitting there hoping one of her grandchildren or her son would come visit but that was very rare. She talked to me about all of that and I know how painful it was to her.

I always promised her I would visit her grave but after moving away from Charlotte it wasn't possible so I created this Memorial for her when I discovered Find a grave.
Her Father was Alexander Patterson, her Mother was Annie Sutherland Patterson
