Clara Anna was born to Herman and Marie Johanna (Kelm) Koglin. She married Robert William Christen in the Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, Farming Township, Minnesota on October 22, 1913. The marriage was solemnized by Rev. Heinrich Nauss and witnessed by Arndt (Arnold) Christen, Marie Kelm, Walter Koglin and Clara Christen.

Survivors include four children: Merylyn Gilk, Albany; Robert, Fridley; Wilbert, Gardinerville, Nev.; and Delbert, Fridley.

She was preceded in death by her husband; one son, Talbert; three brothers, William Koglin, Walter Koglin and Harry Koglin; and two grandchildren.

The funeral was held on November 7, 1982 officiated by Rev. William Schultz with burial following the service.
