Bryce was the second son of Earl Conrad Borchers and Grace Andrea Trimble. He died from Acute Myelogenous Luekemia when he was 3 years old. His favorite book was the House at Pooh Corner by A.A. Milne. His mother had read it to him so many times that he had it memorized. He died on his mothers lap at 2:30pm in the afternoon while she was reading him The House at Pooh Corner.

Bryce had an older brother, Clay (Earl Clay Borchers 1919 to 1978) and older sister, Wilma (Wilma Juanita (Borchers)Craig 1921-1958) an older sister, Roen (Roen Virginia Borchers 1928-1958) and a younger brother, Blaine (Blaine Gilbert Borchers 1936-1995) who was born after his death. His sisters and his younger brother would also die from cancer.
