Avis A. Delano, 86, died Wednesday at her home. Born Avis Allender July 15, 1893 in Iowa, she married Cliff Delano, February 1, 1911 at Stafford. He died April 25, 1975 at Liberal. She lived here since 1946, coming from Hugoton. She was a member of the First of God, Liberal.
Survivors were daughters: Mrs. Fern Nicholes, Guymon, Oklahoma; Mrs. Josephine Packard, Hugoton; Mrs. Avis January, Liberal; Mrs. Elda Nichols, Manter; brother Hollis Allender, Dalhart, Texas; 17 grandchildren; 37 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild.
Funeral will be 2 p.m., Saturday at the church; Pastors Dennis Lawrence, James Holder and Roger Williams. Burial in Liberal Cemetery. Friends may call until 10 am, Saturday at Kitch Funeral Home, Liberal.
