ALLENDER, JAMES R.--December 21, 1965, Weott. Husband of Amelia Allender of Weott. Father of William Allender of Santa Rosa, Francis Allender of Pittsburgh, Capt. Reverdy Allender of USAF, Lee Allender of Garberville, Robert Allender of Eureka. Brother of Dan Allender and Hollis Allender, both of Dalhart, Texas, Mrs. Avis Delano of Liberal, Kansas. He is survived by eight grandchildren and numerous other nieces.

He was the Past Commander of the American Legion Post 494 of Garberville an was also active in the Weott Post. Was Past Commander of World War I Barracks No. 2392 of Garberville. A native of Albia, Iowa. Age 73 years old.

Services will be held at Riverwood Chapel, Garberville on Friday, December 24 at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Robert Parkinson officiating. Interment at the Golden Gate National Cemetery, San Bruno on Monday, December 27.
