"Mrs. Churchill came to Shelby a number of years ago in company with her husband, who only lived about a year after their arrival. She has lived the most of the time since, with her children, W. H. Churchill and Mrs. John Kern, of this place, and Mrs. O.A. Elliot, of Ludington. Mr. and Mrs. Darius D. Churchill of New York, Mrs. Sarah Dorman, also of New York, Mrs. Harriet Walker, of Clinton County, Mrs. Elizabeth Adams, of Eden, Mason county, and Mrs. A. O. Elliot, of Ludington, came from abroad to attend the funeral, being all her children except one, a daughter living near Saginaw, and who was kept away on account of her health."
