Benjamin Briggs was born at New England Wood Co Wv the son of Benjamin Franklin Briggs(whose twin brother William had stayed in Belmont Co)and Mary Ann(Fox)Briggs. The twins father was also Benjamin Briggs born about 1798. Like 6 of his Siblings (Roma Bell(Briggs)Briggs,Becky(Briggs)Lewis,Catherine Carol(Briggs)Rhodes,Thordie Dee Briggs,Clinton Briggs and Thomas Briggs at Mounsville Wv) Benjamin III came back to the Belmont Ohio, Wheeling Wv area to live and work. He was a Mine Foreman. Benjamin III also had a Brother Mathew Briggs and Sisters Hannah(Briggs)Wigal and Elizabeth(Briggs)Lucas stayed at New England Wood Co Wv. Another Brother Grover Cleveland Briggs drowned in the Ohio River near New England Wv in 1915 at 30 years of age.
