Kathryn (or Catherine) Carol Briggs was the daughter of Benjamin Franklin and Mary Ann Fox Briggs who had came to Wood county Wv about 1872 from Belmont County Oh. Kathryn married Lewis Melvin Rhodes 30apr 1899, in Wood Co Wva, who was a brother to Alvira Rhodes who married Kathryn's brother Thordie Dee. Both couples returned to the Belmont Oh area that the parents had left 30 yrs before. Also 5 more of Benjamin and Mary Ann Briggs Children came up to Belmont Oh and the surrounding counties near them. They had a farm at Neff Ohio but Kathryn died at her son's house at her son's home at Bellair Oh
