Civil War Soldier. Member of Company I of the 63rd Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry Regiment. His company was known as "The McKeesport Rifle Grays." Mustered in on August 19, 1861. Discharged on Surgeon’s Certificate on August 10, 1862.
