Bertha M. Coffer, age 99 of Ozark, MO passed away Monday, September 3, 2012 in Ozark Nursing and Care Center. She was born March 7, 1913 at Keltner, MO to Oliver and Bessie (Maggard) Morrison. On April 14, 1930 she was united in marriage to Fred Coffer. Bertha was a longtime resident of Christian County and a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church. She was employed at a nursing home for 18 years and also worked for Riverside Inn. Bertha was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Junior, an infant son, two grandsons Jamie and Brian Coffer, a sister Etta Shipman, six brothers Floyd, Lloyd, Oren, Clinton, Ernest and Oscar Morrison. Bertha is survived by a son Merrill and wife Mary; daughter-in-law Peggy Coffer; grandson Matthew Coffer; sister Edith Schuler; brother Leslie Morrison; one great- granddaughter Trista Coffer; two great-great grand-children Payton Coffer and Myles Moesner; several nieces, nephews and other caring relatives. Bertha was laid to rest beside her husband in Chadwick Cemetery.
