Miss Nettie E. Breckenridge, 89, 758 N. 2nd St., died 5:50 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 30 1972, in Americana Nursing Home after a short illness.

Born July 14, 1883, in Popular Grove, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Archibald Breckenridge. Lived most of her life in Rockford, coming here from Popular Grove. She was a retired school teacher, having taught in the Rockford school system here 45 years.

Member of Westminster Presbyterian Church and of Order of the Eastern Star, Winnebago County Retired Teacher's Association and Winnebago County Historical Society.

Survivors include three nieces, Mrs. Harvey Greenlee, Mrs. Thomas G. Andrew, both of Caledonia, and Mrs Donald Bowton, Appleton, Wis.; three nephews, Edward and Ben Breckenridge, Rockford, and Willard Breckenridge, McAllen, Tex. She was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.

Private services at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 2, in Julian-Poorman Funeral Home, 304 N. 5th St., with the Dr. Fredrick Robie, pastor of Westminster Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial in Cedar Bluff Cemetery.
